Who We Are
We are a coalition of individuals and pro-democracy organizations dedicated to resisting the current administration’s policies through strategic direct action. Based in Monterey County, we serve as a hub for both local and virtual activism, empowering our community to take a stand for democratic values.
Our Mission
Our goal is to amplify the reach of grassroots events and provide citizens with the tools to resist regressive decisions. Whether in person or online, we mobilize to ensure our collective voice is heard.
Our Commitment to Nonviolence
To maintain the integrity and safety of our movement, all members and participants adhere to a strict code of conduct:
Nonviolent Resistance: We believe that lasting change is built through peace. Violence is never the solution.
De-escalation: We act lawfully and strive to de-escalate potential confrontations with those who oppose our values.
Weapon-Free Events: To ensure a safe environment for all, weapons of any kind—including those legally permitted—are strictly prohibited at our events.
TODAY’S ACTIONS
On 2/27/26, the Department of War labeled Anthropic (maker of Claude) a “supply chain risk”—a designation usually reserved for foreign adversaries. This move followed Anthropic’s refusal to allow its AI to be used for mass domestic surveillance or fully autonomous lethal weapons systems.
While Anthropic stood by its “Constitutional AI” ethics framework, OpenAI (ChatGPT) quickly stepped in to assume those military contracts. If you value privacy and human accountability in AI, delete your ChatGPT accounts today.
