City of Monterey Fourth of July Parade

March with the Peace Coalition of Monterey County and help show that peace has a strong and visible presence in our community. Wear white as a symbol of peace and unity. Join the Monterey County Democrats at the July 4th Parade. Let’s take back our flag and send a message that Democrats and activists are here, supporting Democracy and standing with vulnerable communities who are under attack. Marching behind the Democratic banner and carrying flags and signs with relevant nonpartisan quotes, we can get our message out. Wear red, white and/or blue and we will outshine the other side in number and spirit! Entry # 64

Celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States with Indivisible Monterey and show our community we are united in support of liberty and justice for all! Everyone’s invited to march with us in the City of Monterey’s storied 4th of July Parade, held in downtown Monterey and stepping off at 10am. Please come in festive white and blue or Lady Liberty costumes!

Meet between 9:00 and 9:45 am in the parking lot behind Hartnell Professional Center (576 Hartnell St., across from the Post Office). Please be in place by 9:45 am. Specific line up locations will be provided by each organization.

Stay afterward to enjoy the Monterey Fourth of July Celebration at Colton Hall Lawn, 570 Pacific St.

Speak out at Board Supervisor’s Meeting

On July 7, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. the Monterey County Board of Supervisors will consider creating Oversight of the Sheriff’s Office and also address Immigration issues, including the Sheriff’s Office cooperation with ICE. Please come and speak on these issues during the public comments on July 7th and send your written comments by using this simple FORM.

Swing Left will provide postcards to register new voters in several of Swing Left’s target districts. Postcard packets with stamps are: $17.00/ without stamps: $2.50. We will also have Vote Forward letters and postcards from Center for Common Ground to reach out to Black voters about the November 3 election.
